Nico: Williams looking pretty good

Saturday 23rd February 2008

Nico Rosberg is feeling confident about Williams’ prospects this season after the FW30 showed impressive pace during testing this past week.

Williams tested for three days at the Barcelona circuit in both wet and dry conditions. However, it was in the latter than the Grove team’s FW30 came to the fore with Kazuki Nakajima setting the pace on the final day of testing.

It was an impressive performance for Williams with Rosberg declaring that the team is happy with the progress they made in Spain during the course of the test.

"We’ve had plenty of running in the wet this week and we looked pretty good, which was positive," he told ITV.

"It wasn’t that easy to drive in the conditions, it’s hard to keep the tyres in the working window, especially without traction control, so you’re always quite on the limit.

"The last day was dry and so we managed to cover a lot of laps with no problems at all.

"Over the three days, we got some important reliability issues sorted out.

"We seem to be progressing well with the new car and I am happy with the improvements we’re making."
